ST CHARLES, MISSOURI - For the first time in almost 30 days, Al has an operational computer with internet access. That's why this November Newsletter is just now coming to you. First we fried a motherboard, then lost DSL for about a week, then had to get new software, then lost DSL for a couple more days, and then our Safe-mail.net site was down for a couple more days. Praise God, we're operational again!

MOLDOVA - Doru Cirdei, Executive Director of Bethany Christian Center and Senior Pastor of Philadelphia Church is in the United States for 6 weeks, to enlighten his audiences about the oppressive power of the Communist government in Moldova which is moving against private Christian schools. Since the Moldovans voted to put the Communist party back in power about two years ago, there have been multiple laws enacted against the evangelical community in that country. Most recently, the Communist government has required every private Christian school in Moldova to hold property in their name and to also hold 500,000 Moldovan Leigh (about $42,000) in a bank account to "prove solvency."

Doru has solved the property requirement. But, raising $42,000 in six weeks is a huge hurdle. Especially since that's enough money to run the entire Bethany Christian Complex for many months. So, Doru is in the United States until December 23rd raising this $42,000 or else the government will shut the school down.

Please pray with us for Doru! Keep the school open!

We are also collecting more funds to help in this endeavor.

On a happier note, Horizons Foundation has received some beautiful trumpets for the Bethany Christian Center's brass band. In July, 2004 we were privileged to attend the 10th anniversary service of the founding of the Philadelphia church in Chisinau, Moldova. This is the church that Pastor Doru started with 7-10 other individuals in 1994. This church has grown into an attendance of more than 600 and has also started more than 32 churches since 1994 and has started two seminaries and Bethany Christian Center, now home to over 60 former street children. It's from this church that the house parents are chosen for Bethany. When Doru returns to Moldova he will take these trumpets with him. A special thanks to our friends in Texas who donated these beautiful instruments.

PERU - A group of volunteers will arrive in Pacasmayo on January 8th, if all goes as planned. We'll be there for about a week to plan the most pressing projects for 2005 with Go Ye Ministries, our partners in Pacasmayo. There is still time for you to come and go with us, just call us! We have been requested to bring some Pentium 3 computers (or faster), some web cams for the internet cafe, some head sets for hearing and speaking over the internet, good jeans (all sizes), good shoes (all sizes), good shirts (all sizes) and 700 yards of nylon netting (all colors) so the ladies there can make the 'scrungees' for sale. For you men out there like Al, a scrungee is used to clean food residue off of plates, etc just before washing them.

We will have planning sessions regarding starting a microlending operation (check out the Microlending tab at www.HorizonsFoundation.com), starting the English teaching tech school, other businesses to start or enlarge to bring self sufficiency to this entire program. We also plan to review the seven projects identified in the last newsletter as well as planning to take side trips to look at oceanfront property for sale and see some silver mines.

Please pray with us for wisdom to implement the projects God wants us to be involved in, in this area.

WEBSITE - The website is being continually improved.
